Lace up your running shoes and channel your inner Forrest Gump at our 5K run in Kemah! Starting and finishing at the iconic Kemah Boardwalk, this Forrest-themed race will have you feeling like you "just felt like running."
That’s right! Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is holding their first ever Forrest Gump themed Fun Run. This year’s 5k will be held during the Kemah Boardwalk’s Salute to Military weekend and is proudly benefitting the Gary Sinise Foundation—because that’s what Lt. Dan would want!
Each runner will get a T-Shirt and a medal for running like Forrest and a bag full of swag!
After the race, we have our Forrest Gump look alike contest. Where you can win great prizes - including free shrimp! So come dressed up as your favorite version of Forrest Gump and put on your best good Forrest Gump impression.
Then celebrate a run well done by enjoying some shrimp and seafood at Bubba Gump, and experience all that Kemah Boardwalk has to offer. So, what are we sitting on a park bench waiting for? It’s time to Run, Forrest, Run!
Day of Schedule
7:30 AM - Packet pick up and Sign in begins
9:00 AM - Race Starts
11:00 AM - Forrest Look Alike Contest
We offer early packet pick up at select locations in Houston and Kemah. Be sure to select the appropriate ticket when registering if picking up early. Early packet pick-up available at these locations:
